Head lice infestation can be one of the most frustrating things to deal with. It may not only be frustrating for the person affected by it, but also for the people around. It is pretty contagious and can cause a lot of discomfort due to the severe itching and burning it brings along. Head lice are scientifically known as Pediculus humanus capitis. These are parasites which live and survive on scalp, neck, ears, and in the hair of human hosts. The lice consume blood 4 – 5 times a day. Head lice are spread through close, personal contact, commonly in schools. Sharing headwear, combs, or pillows can also increase your risk of developing lice.

Despite being annoying, lice are not dangerous and do not spread any disease. However, lice may cause itching, scratching, and development of rashes. Fortunately, there are a number of head lice home remedies that work wonders at reducing the number of the lice or even completely banishing them.

Olive oil is effective in suffocating the lice and finally killing them.

How to use-

Another way in which you can use olive oil is-
